The Diocese of Gary OYYA serves those who serve the young Catholic Church.

Vision Statement

Through collaboration with parish leaders and youth-serving organizations, the Diocese of Gary OYYA seeks to nurture the total personal and spiritual enrichment of our youth and young adults, and to call them to full participation in the life, mission, and work of the faith community as portrayed by Jesus in the Gospels.

OYYA programs are funded in part by generous donations to the diocesan Catholic Services Appeal

The 2009 Catholic Youth Xperience will be a journey your teens won't soon forget! You are invited to bring a group to the CROSSroads this summer- July 31-Aug. 2- for the 6th annual CYX. > MIKE MORELLI! CYX Friday night features a journey of personal transformation, and part of that will feature a live appearance by Mike Morelli, a 2009 finalist of NBC's The Biggest Loser! A limited number of tickets will be sold to "Mike fans" not attending CYX. Tickets are $12, Tickets must be purchased in advance. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. Using a careful discernment and consensus process, the Diocesan Youth Council arrived at this list. The DYC invites parish leaders to use this list as a discussion starter with youth. Some may agree with items on this list, some may disagree, but it could be the start of good discussions. (click here)

YOUNG ADULTS: NEW REGIONAL YA MASS, & TOT DATES ANNOUNCED: Young Adult Catholics in NW Indiana are invited to take a quick trip across the border (just west of Munster) to attend a monthly Young Adult Mass on the last Sunday of each month at St. Ann's in Lansing, IL. Also, dates have been announced for Crown Point's annual Theology on Tap in July. Click here for more info.
