TAPT CHECKLIST     Prior to TAPT letter to TAPTsters & Parents     Bulletin Announcements

TAPTsters: Plan to arrive at Camp Lawrence (directions) on Friday, March 23rd at 7:00 p.m., (and please no earlier than 6:45). Check in will be in the Dining Hall. Please eat dinner before you arrive. The retreat will conclude at appr. 12:30 p.m. on Sunday March 25th. The TAPT Closing Mass, also known as the “Reunion Mass,” is open to guests, including family members and former TAPTsters. Mass will begin appr. 11:15, but if guests plan to join us, please arrive early to ensure seating. If you are attending from outside the diocese, please note that Camp Lawrence is on Central Time.

Parents, a licensed nurse will be available on the retreat. If you wish for your child’s medications to be distributed by this nurse, please see the nurse when you check your child in on Friday night. Otherwise, the Diocese of Gary will not be held responsible for the distribution of medications.

Cost: $65, includes lodging, meals, materials, t-shirt, and other retreat stuff.

Teens may only attend a TAPT once. Previous TAPTsters may apply for a position on the leadership team.

TAPT CHECKLIST

WHAT TO BRING:

_______WARM CASUAL CLOTHES FOR 3 DAYS
          * An extra change of clothes and hiking boots if you decide go on the hike Saturday afternoon
          * Dress is casual, but modest. If your dress is deemed inappropriate for a Christian event, adult leaders reserve the right to ask you to change into more appropriate attire.

_______PILLOW & SLEEPING BAG (or sheets and covers for a twin bed)

_______TOWELS AND WASHCLOTH

_______MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS (for free time, and maybe closing liturgy)

_______CAMERA (please mark your name on them, even disposables!)

About cellular phones: Cel phones connect you to the world outside of Camp Lawrence, which can be distracting to the TAPT experience! For teens bringing cel phones, we insist that they be turned to their OFF or SILENT settings during the entire weekend, and that you restrict phone calls to parent/guardian check-ins and emergencies ONLY. Personal calls are not allowed, to encourage teens to be fully present for the retreat experience. Text messaging is prohibited during retreat activities.
