Participants of TAPT 2010 are encouraged to join us as we support Soles4Souls' Haiti/Chile Project. Looking to make a small sacrifice during Lent and clean out your closet at the same time? The recent devastation in Haiti & Chile is beyond most of our comprehension. Among the countless needs of those who have been displaced in the region as a result of the recent earthquake, is an everyday item so many of us take for granted...shoes! In partnership with Soles4Souls, a national organization that provides free footwear to those in desperate need around the globe, TAPT participants are asked to donate shoes to be sent to these countries. The shoes should be: * Any size / gender Shoes can be dropped off in the collection box at Camp Lawrence at either drop-off on Friday, Mar. 19, or at pick-up after Mass on Sunday, Mar. 21. It would be helpful if you could connect each pair of shoes with a rubber band (or similar) so that we don't have to sort them. We will then ship the shoes to one of the regional warehouses and distribution centers for Soles4Souls. A suggested donation of $1/pair - or any other donations toward the cost of shipping - would be greatly appreciated!
