O.A.T.S.  (Our Auxiliary Tapt Staff) Team Member (Teens)      Peer Minister (Teens)

 Adult Small Group Facilitator (Adults)

Job: O.A.T.S.  (Our Auxiliary Tapt Staff) Team Member, aka “OATie”   (Teen)

Tasks to be performed: Attend formation meetings, assist at meals and in the kitchen, assist in retreat set up and take down, participate in activities determined by OATS directors, prepare and serve Agape team meal (during formation process), engage in meaningful prayer experiences for retreat participants and leaders, perform Christian service for participants and leaders where needed, participate in retreat evaluation, be committed to the success of the retreat.

Abilities Required: Physical ability and willingness to serve as Christ served, ability to work collaboratively with youth and adults, witness by word and example, willingness to pray and share your faith with others, positive attitude, “team player!”

Commitment: Three 4-hour team formation meetings, TAPT retreat weekend, evaluation meeting. Registration fee of $65 (covers meals, training materials, retreat costs, and souvenir sweatshirt).

Training and Supervision: Provided by diocesan coordinator and OATS Directors

Benefits to Participant: Opportunity for greater diocesan involvement, opportunity to explore and develop Christian service skills, opportunity to make new friends, opportunity to learn and practice retreat skills, opportunity to experience a fantastic retreat, opportunity to assume a leadership role in the diocesan Catholic faith community.

Participant accountable to:  diocesan coordinator, OATS directors, TAPT staff,  TAPT retreat participants, Self, and of course, God!

Job: Peer Minister (Teen)

Tasks to be performed: Attend formation meetings, facilitate small group process, collaborate with adult small group leader, assist with supervision of retreat participants, participate in and lead retreat activities, assist with dorm supervision, participate in retreat evaluation, be committed to the success of the retreat.

Abilities Required: Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with youth and adults, small group processing skills, willingness to pray and share your faith with others, positive attitude, “team player!”

Commitment: Three 4-hour team formation meetings, TAPT retreat weekend, evaluation meeting. Registration fee of $65 (covers meals, training materials, retreat costs, and souvenir sweatshirt).

Job: Adult Small Group Facilitator (Adults)

Tasks to be performed: Attend formation meetings, facilitate small group process, collaborate with peer minister(s), supervision of retreat participants, participate in and lead retreat activities, assist with dorm supervision, participate in retreat evaluation, be committed to the success of the retreat. 

Abilities Required: Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with youth and adults, small group processing skills, willingness to pray and share your faith with others, positive attitude, “team player!” Must be 21 or older.

Commitment: Three 4-hour team formation meetings, TAPT retreat weekend, evaluation meeting. Adult leaders (or their parishes) are asked to consider making a freewill offering to help cover meals, training materials, retreat costs, souvenir sweatshirt, etc..

Training and Supervision: Provided by diocesan coordinator and TAPT Core Group

Benefits to Participant: Opportunity for greater diocesan involvement, opportunity to network with other youth leaders, opportunity to learn and practice retreat and ministry skills applicable to your parish/local ministry, opportunity to experience a fantastic retreat alongside youth from your parish/ministry, opportunity to assume a leadership role in the diocesan Catholic faith community.

Participant accountable to:  diocesan coordinator, TAPT Core Group and staff,  TAPT retreat participants, Self, and of course, God!
