Diocese of Gary Symposium for Catholic Young Adults
Saturday, February 13 · Calumet College of St. Joseph, Whiting

PRAY
Christ is at the center of this day, and Jorgé Rivera, a young adult ministry director in the Archdiocese of Chicago and a recording artist with World Library Publications has a gift of leading rousing prayer experiences through word and song. Mass with Bishop Dale Melczek promises to be a highlight, too. The Mass fulfills your Sunday obligation, and he will share his hopes for you, and listen to reports generated earlier in the day through the symposium.

VISION
The day features three keynotes from dynamic speakers who know and believe in today's Catholic young adult. Following each keynote, the three sub-groups will divide into processing sessions designed to explore the topic from each sub-group's own unique perspective. Those sessions will allow your voice to be heard in the future of young adult ministry in the Diocese of Gary, and to hear what other young adults throughout Northwest Indiana are saying about the faith you share. The process is very engaging, and will plant seeds that shall bear much fruit! (Luke 8: 5-8)

MEET OTHERS & HAVE FUN!
It might feel like there aren't many others your age that share your faith and hope for the future of the Church. This day is all about bringing people like you together! Not only will you have a chance to meet others in the symposium process, you will also break bread together at lunch and in Eucharist.

(Optional but encouraged!) DINNER & DJ DANCE SOCIAL
After Mass, you are invited and encouraged to celebrate all that we have accomplished with a dinner and social. A cash bar is available for those 21 and over.
