A day designed
just for Catholic young adults in Northwest Indiana!
Pray ˇ Learn ˇ Have your voice heard ˇ Sing! ˇ Celebrate ˇ
Socialize ˇ Bring faith into your world, and your world into your
faith ˇ Meet others ˇ
Build the Kingdom of God, right here in the Region!
The time is
NOW for Catholic young adults. Time to send a message loud and
clear to the rest of the Church: we are a new generation of Church
leaders and worshippers. A generation that needs and lives
Christ. Life is challenging, but we are proud to be
Catholic and need Christ and the Church in our lives more than
ever before!
Led in
music and message by Jorgé Rivera, a young adult ministry
director in the Archdiocese of Chicago and a recording artist with
World Library Publications,
and
including a Mass with Bishop Melczek, young adults in
Northwest Indiana have a chance to be part of something special:
the first-ever Generation Christ: Symposium for Catholic
Young Adults. Young adults will pray together, vision
together, and at the end of the day also have a time to socialize
with one another.
Through talks,
prayer, and processing, we will explore topics unique to each of
these sub-groups of young adults:
ˇ Single
young adults in their 20's & 30's
ˇ Married young adults in their 20's & 30's
ˇ College-aged young adults
At Mass, each
sub-group will present a report to Bishop Melczek, and that report
will also be made available after the event to all Church leaders
throughout the Diocese of Gary.
Parish leaders,
we hear often, "We wish we could better connect with young
adults." This could be the start of doing just that! We hope each
parish sends at least two young adult representatives to this
event.
