Jot down these class notes...

• Cost is FREE, so bring the whole team!

• Very light snacks and refreshments are provided, but you are advised to eat dinner before arriving. Bottled water provided, or bring your own beverage. Feel free to bring snacks to share at our snack table!

• Mature H.S. teens have benefited from YMU training and are more than welcome! Because the content is designed for adults, younger teens may not be able to keep up.

• To make YMU more convenient we are squeezing LOTS of material into a short time frame. Therefore, the instructor will start RIGHT ON TIME.

YMU is designed to be a two-session program, with Day Two building off Day One. Participants should avoid one-day attendance if at all possible.

• Please bring a notebook and pen, and also be prepared to do a few hours’ worth of “homework” between classes.

Have a team ready for training NOW and don't want to wait for the next YMU? No problem! Give Kev a call and let's set up something at your place!

Sample bulletin announcement:

The Diocese of Gary Office for Youth & Young Adults presents “Youth Ministry University,” a two day YM training program, on two consecutive Tuesdays, Apr. 17 & 24, 5:30-9:30pm both nights, at St. Matthias Catholic Church in Crown Point. YMU trains YM coordinators, volunteers, and anyone working with young people in middle and high school. The content is based on the comprehensive model of YM advocated by the USCCB in Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry. The interactive two-day program will also review the history of YM in the U.S., YM basics, and give you and your team a chance to do a self-assessment of your ministry. Cost is free. To “enroll,” just RSVP your attendance to 219-769-9292 x229, or email .
